"Any museum can invite you to look. A great one changes the way you see."

The Colquitt County Arts Center features an impressive collection of artwork that has been donated by artists and local benefactors or acquired through its endowment. Its collections include the William Frank McCall, Jr Collection and the Contemporary Collection. The McCall Collection includes 18th and 19th century works on paper including such artist as N.C. Wyeth, John Singer Sargent, Whistler and many more. The Contemporary Collection has been created since the opening of the Arts Center. Local contributions to the Arts Center's collections include metalwork by A.J. Buehre, watercolor by Jane Simpson, mosaics by Karin Sasine, inkwashes by Andrew Underdown, nature pieces by Randy Gibbs, quilts by Connie Fritz and much, much more.
In the words of Jeff Ophime, the CCAC Executive Director, "One of the nice things about the Art Centers is that it is always changing. The exhibits in the Vereen Gallery change every couple months, so what was here in August is gone and there is something new to see. To fully appreciate the Arts Center you need to come, at the very least, every three months to keep up with what’s new and exciting. More often would be better."
