Colquitt County Arts Center

On August 20, 2009 the following letter to the editor was published by the Moultrie Observer.  Thanks, Carolyn, for your kind words!  We are glad that the Arts Center can be such a joy to you.

Dear editor:

Friday, July 24, it was my joy to help celebrate the Colquitt County Arts Center. Thanks to all those who began this facility and to all of those who have supported and enjoyed the activities there — the “icing of God’s beautiful world.”

Many concerts, plays, artists and us ordinary admirers have been the benefactors of this wonderful project.

The hospitality of Connie Fritz and others at the pre show dinners is remarkable.

The evidence of the 60-plus players in “Children of Eden” has to be about the tops of the shows I’ve seen here.

From the office of CAC to all the remaining staff and board of directors and patrons, I say thank you.

Although I probably won’t get another trip to Broadway in New York, I can see off Broadway right here in Moultrie.
